Certification Basics Sessions Download Forms

Register for an Instructor-led Business Development Session

Instructor-led sessions are offered continuously throughout the state. You may register electronically online, by mail, or by fax to attend any SDO session.

Businesses located outside the Commonwealth are required to take the precertification session by telephone. Please contact SDO to request an appointment for a telephone session.

If you operate a non-profit organization, you should not register for a session here. Instead, please contact the SDO office, or take our online session, paying particular attention to the tax status section.

"A Pre-Certification Session"
This is a required workshop for all businesses interested in applying for certification as a Minority, Woman, Veteran, and/or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. The workshop will include information about the regulations, qualifications, process, and other information needed to begin the certification process. This session will run for two hours.
"DCAMM Vertical Construction Contracting Prime & Sub-bidder Certification Workshops"
This program will cover the DCAMM Certification requirements and the processes for certification as a Prime Contractor, Small Project Contractor or Filed Sub-bidder for those parties interested in bidding on M.G.L. Chapter 149 and 149A vertical building construction work in the Commonwealth.
2nd Annual Supplier Diversity Regional Series
Join us for business development, networking, and workshops to provide capacity building and expanded opportunities for small and diverse businesses interested in pursuing supply-chain engagements with state, municipal, or private buyers.
Connecting Your Business to the Commonwealth
The Operational Services Division offers this FREE workshop designed for businesses who are interested in learning how to do business with the State. This workshop includes: An overview of Statewide and Departmental Contracting procurement process and associated programs and services such as the Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) and the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP). Attendees will also learn about marketing to public entities and using COMMBUYS and other resources. In most cases, a COMMBUYS registration session follows the program.
MSBA Procurement Briefing (Accelerated Repair Program)
The MSBA is hosting a briefing on its current and upcoming procurements that may interest engineers, architects and project managers. The MSBA is conducting several procurements for qualified firms to receive assigned work to assist school districts on accelerated repair program projects (roofs, windows and boilers) as well as project-based consulting work for the MSBA.
Northeastern University Supplier Diversity Event
Northeastern University, together with the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), is hosting a major Networking Event for local minority area businesses. This event will give businesses the opportunity to meet and present their companies to procurement professionals that may have diversity requirements for the procurement of their goods and services.
OSD - Webinar - Basic Supplier Diversity Program Overview
This webinar targets Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (M/WBEs) that are SDO certified and federally certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (SDVOBEs) that are interested in learning how to use their certification in the state procurement process, find opportunities for SDP partnerships and market as an SDP participant to state entities.
OSD - Webinar - How to Submit an Effective Supplier Diversity Plan
The Operational Services Division requires a Supplier Diversity Plan Form for all large procurements ($150,000+) and Statewide Contracts. This webinar is for all bidders interested in learning how to submit an effective Plan. The webinar is designed to provide all bidders with the necessary information, resources and tools needed when submitting an effective Supplier Diversity Program Plan Form(s) 1, 2 & 3.
OSD MASSbuys Vendor Webinar
This webinar will cover how to market you exhibit booth before, during, and after the MASSbuys EXPO. Vendors will be provided tools and samples for promoting their business, create brand awarness to drive traffic to their booth and boost Statewide Contract sales.
